What is lnker?

The short version

You hit save, lnker fetches the title / preview / favicon and suggests smart tags with AI. Later, you find that link in seconds by tag, by search, or by stash. No folders to maintain, no broken bookmark trees. Free to start; one flat upgrade when you outgrow the limits.

Save from anywhere

  • The web app — paste any URL into the search bar.
  • The Chrome extension — one click, or ⌘⇧L / Ctrl⇧L. Right-click a page or link for the same quick-save.
  • CSV import — upload an export from Pocket, Raindrop, your browser's bookmarks, or any spreadsheet. lnker auto-detects columns and dedupes against what you've already saved.

AI-suggested tags

Every save gets a fresh set of suggestions from Claude based on the page's title, description, and your existing tag vocabulary. Tap to accept; type to add your own. Suggestions cache server-side so the same page costs nothing on the second save.

Stashes — group links your way

A stash is a virtual collection of links. Two types:

  • Default — define a stash by tag rules ("everything tagged recipe AND vegan") or by picking links individually. Stashes update automatically as you save more matching links.
  • Research — an outline of topics and subtopics, infinitely nestable. Drag links into topics, rearrange topics, promote/demote nodes via drag-and-drop. Built for academic projects, term papers, anything with structure.

Stashes have a sharable URL. Keep them private, share with logged-in lnker users, or make them fully public.

Citations for academic work

When you save a link from a publisher site (JSTOR, EBSCO, ProQuest, Springer, Wiley, Nature, and many more), lnker reads the embedded scholarly metadata (Highwire Press / Dublin Core / Schema.org) and captures a full citation — authors, journal, volume, issue, DOI. Behind a paywall, the Chrome extension captures the same data from your logged-in tab.

Inside a research stash, every cited link gets a Cite button that copies APA, MLA, or Chicago-formatted citations. Export the whole stash as BibTeX, RIS, or CSL-JSON for Zotero, Mendeley, EndNote, or any reference manager.

Pairing across devices

Pair the Chrome extension with your lnker account once and saves flow silently from any browser tab. Passkeys (WebAuthn), Google / Microsoft / Apple sign-in, TOTP and SMS two-factor authentication are all supported.

Pricing

Free plan: 200 saved links, 5 stashes, 1 paired device, 25 AI tag suggestions per day, 150 outline items per research stash. Premium ($4.99 / month) lifts every limit and unlocks public sharing on stashes.
